I've just replaced mine. The originals were 5mm thick but the new ones are 6mm. No problem fitting them; worst job was getting all the old sealant off. Used about one complete tube of marine grade silicone sealant. Replaced the original No. 8 self-tapping screws with No.10 size (100 in all). Trouble is, my boat is stored under cover during the winter, so I won't know how successful it is until April!
