I just replaced the original ysb8 in my 300 with a 1gm10, fits okay, the original stringers are in the the right athwart ships position but but new holes must be drilled and tapped for the correct fore and aft position, also approximately 3/4" must be added to the height or you will be at the top of the new mounts height range (you want to be as low as possible) for the sake of mount life and vibration. I just added a teak strip to the the stringers and epoxied and glassed it in, and of course I used correspondingly longer mounting bolts to catch the original metal in the stringers.
