Knowing my big rolling genny will be too much for the conditions you describe, I had Arun make me a rolling blade jib - about No. 3 in size. I always take the headsail off at the end of a trip; if the forecast is bad I put the blade jib on.

I had it last week when someone entered me for the Round Alderney Race. It was perfect on the long opening beat down the Swinge, and I won on handicap against the local boats!
