Hi Alan,
You may find winch supplier has a favoured drive to fit it and if you are lucky a manual override. Guess its all about torque not revs.

Can report Ram bracket fixed to new steel plate ( located with 6 layers of glass tape/epoxy). Had help from Brian Wright ( TS 240 'Miracle' Oare creek Faversham)4 hands better than two!! Thanks Brian.

Regrettably fixing the cut out panel in side of case was not so easy. With boat aground had to wait for tide to lift hull before keel lifted to position pin and panel. Fortunately the wear slots gave some leeway on this.

Our attempt at bonding in with gap filler and tape/epoxy failed at panel edge adjacent to pin due to loading from keel as she settled at low tide. Have since redone this as a temporary fix (hopefully!!!) to end of season using large G clamps across the keel housing width with two short battens retaining vertical edges. 5 hours drying/curing between tides is not enough to get strength.

Will find out tommorrow if it works! Will try for a thorough structural job when she's ashore.

Cheers
Paul
