Assumed that bolt was stainless - may be wrong! perhaps Godfrey can advise?

Metal roller may give better roller wear but at poss expense of keel. Also any grit etc getting in would cause wear and poss locking whereas softer material has more 'give'( It might even keep a mild steel bolt polished!!). Softer material may stop noise from keel 'slap' if this can occur.

Am keeping my boat on mud mooring ( she sits down really well) but what do others do with rudder? Do you remove or set vertically up acting as a sail?
