Hi Godfrey & Kim,

Thanks for the advice. Can already see two clear options.
ie:
1)lightweight 5/6 Hp with saildrive prop is easy to handle in & out but may be wearing on noise on long sesion if single cylinder. Possibly marginal in severe conditions.
2) Larger /heavier, 8/9Hp. Seems best for extreme conditions but bit of a pain to handle.

Of course , budget may also intrude on choice!!!
