I don't race officially but if anyone's nearby...well these boats are not tubs. I like to fast cruise and a lot of the fun of sailing is tuning the sails to match heading/conditions. I have a backstay tensioner and use it regularly to tune the foresail although the mark I has a bit of a telegraph pole for a mast it still moves the headsail draft. Does this still work with the furling systems? also what about sailcloth weight, my no.1 genoa is Pentex and no.1 jib is a Bainbridge fabric weighted to suit heavier conditions.
