Glad you like the boat, I am still learning after 1 year just how much fun you can have. still having fun even after 5 weeks on board in Holland and trying to get home. If you do decide to change your sails, maybe you would consider selling you old ones? The sails on Optica where a cheap set of cruising sails bought buy the last owner when he cruiserfied the boat and I dont have a number 1 genny just a small no 2, a working jib and storm jib.
My Main was made with sail slides which didn't really fit my mast and always jammed so I had a bolt rope put in. its better but the sail was not cut for a bolt rope. It works quite well but not pretty.
Just remember the learning curve only gets steeper?????
Glad your having fun
Kim
