I too find VoyForums extremely slow at times - I also am on cable broadband so my response expectation level has risen; so much so that I lose patience while it remains hanging and give up and go elsewhere. As I suppose the hosting is done in the US it probably depends on peak usage there. Of course, we do not yet know how Tony's server is loaded or itself will react in the future.

The e-mail notification when someone responds is really neat, I love that.

The signature function is also useful, providing it is not overloaded with smartarse quotations that get tedious at the nth time of seeing. But a simple id. of yachtname, type or location is appropriately relevant.

A disadvantage on here is that when a URL address is given in the message body it is not set up as a link that can be clicked on. This may sound trivial but I noticed once that someone here did not know to copy and paste into the browser address field, thus being unable to access the link.

I suspect that those who are not so keen to change have not yet sampled the goods (perhaps because they cannot click on the URL in Tony's post) - my advice is to try it out, it's great.

Best, Brian.
