Subject: Pedantic questions about Warwick rules...

Just had a look at the Warwick rules on their website: http://www.sunion.warwick.ac.uk/latin-ballroom/varsity/rules.html and have a few questions:
(Well, really it's all quite clear, but it seems rather different from last year, and there's bound to be arguments on the day if it's not discussed in advance :) )

- This [Beginners] section is for present students who have not danced competitively before October 2003.

Does this mean a social dancer with 10 years experience is allowed to dance Beginners at Warwick? (unlike IVDA where the criterium is lessons rather than competitions)

- Couples MUST dance in the A category [opens] if one or both dancers are in the A-team for the team match

Does this include the opposite discipline (latin v. ballroom?) It might be especially harsh for small teams that have only two or three couple anyway to make them dance A...

- latin trousers, practice skirts and team competition dress may only be worn by dancers competing in the basic category or above during the day.

This seems to be a change from last year. Am I right in thinking that dress-restrictions only apply to beginners now?

Anyway, can't wait for the first competition :).
