Why not include some more beginners? It's all discretionary, so Oxford can't enter all 30 million of their beginners, and it increases participation and enjoyment for these beginners. The circuit relies on getting beginners back for a second year, so surely getting as many of them involved as possible is a good thing? We can put in guidelines to the SC about capping it a 2 beg couples per uni - only a few unis are big enough to have leftovers anyway - or cap the odds uni at four full teams.

Agreed.

I have some nit-picking of my own:

2.8.4.3 Member societies shall pick their best possible A-team from the couples they have available...

amend to ... from their couples who will dance in the team match...

This means you aren't compelled to pick good people who have 'fallen out of favour'!
