Let's get this ball rolling. Who is returning? Do you think the new directors can really make Delaware into the semi's or win?
The new directors past judges are so much more qualified then Delaware's past judges and will hopefully, finally give us what we've needed!
Who do you think will take the crown this year?

The pageant world lost a very dear friend. Saturday, Rudy Pivovar, a dear man and pageant fan passed away after a bout with cancer. He was 66.
I had the pleasure of knowing Rudy as his friend for about 4 years. We met while judging the Miss New York USA pageant together and found that we knew a lot of people in common and that he lived in Methuen, Ma where I had lived for ten years.
Rudy was a doll and a very funny man. We spent many an evening closing the bar or getting together with friends in Boston where the majority of the evening was spent getting crazy. As a former titleist myself, Rudy often remarked he felt he was not the only old queen at the table.
Hi warmth and joy will be greatly missed.
The following is his obituary.
Methuen, MA – Frank R. “Rudy” Pivovar, 66, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Caritas Holy Family Hospital. Born in Manchester, NH, Rudy was the son of Shirley (Goddard) and the late Frank Pivovar.
Rudy was a graduate of Tenney High School in Methuen and graduated from Emerson College where he studied speech and theatre. He went on to attend Rittners School of Floral Design where he developed his love of floral arranging. Rudy owned a floral and decorating company where he created lavish arrangements for many celebrities. Because of his love and talent for design, he had the privilege of being invited to decorate at the White House under President Ford. He was the proprietor of Windham Country Flower Shop.
Rudy has been associated with pageants for more than 20 years having directed, emceed and judged for various systems, including the Miss New Hampshire, Miss USA and Miss America pageants. He enjoyed show business and helped with numerous fashion shows around the area.
He was a professional pianist, vocalist and former dance instructor.
Rudy was very active in the community and had a special mission to help revitalize Methuen’s history. He was a former board member and officer of the Methuen Historical Society and was very involved in the Methuen Festival of Trees as well as other organizations working to promote Methuen’s history. Rudy was also a lifetime member of the Derry-Salem Lodge of Elks # 2226 and a member of the Windham Senior Center.
Rudy is survived by his mother, Shirley (Goddard) Pivovar, his sister Judy Follansbee, nephew Michael Follansbee, his longtime companion, David Tryder of Methuen and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 2008, at 1:30 P.M. from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Interment will follow at The Cemetery on the Hill in Windham, NH. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 23, 2008 from 4 to 8 pm.

Subject: It is Ericka from Pageant Prep that is correct

I am the person who provided the quote for Pageant Prep's website for Danielle. I am an immediate family member to Danielle and was responsible for 100 per cent of her day to day guidance (and financial support) through both competitions. I stand by the quote on the website but will state it again here, that without Erika, who was responsible for 98 per cent of her professional training, Danielle would not have been crowned Miss RI USA 2007 or been runner up at the nationals.
If you don't know your facts please stop posting representations which have no basis in reality and are outright inaccurate.

Here is a shocker! Erika Savidge, once wore the "Miss Teen Delaware" crown only 2 short years ago is working as a waitress at Hooters. Its a shame winning the title didn't do much for her career.
Subject: I just had to let everyone know about an amazing photo retouching site specifically for pageant contestants. I must say how proud I am to be from the North East with SOO many stunning and accomplished women from our Region giving such amazing showings at Miss USA. Obvious congrats to Misses New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Rhode Island for their placements. I must say that after following the pageant all week and being in Vegas for the finals that I (and many) were completely shocked that Miss Delaware, Vincenza, was not a semi-finalist. Not hyping at all. Just saying that I know many of us were left baffled. It truly is a shame that the Delaware curse has to continue. It is almost as if "the curse" is now the running joke and being capitalized upon by the MUO. Not crying conspiracy theory but honestly why wasn't she up there?

Hair helper
Interested in trying out sculpting mud for your hair? Make sure you use a minimal amount of product to prevent weighing hair down. A good rule of thumb is to put a little bit on your fingertips and apply to the hair from the back of the head forward.
Hair clean-up
An all-natural way to eliminate shampoo build-up and toxins in your hair is with apple cider vinegar. Rinse your hair once a week with one cup of apple-cider vinegar, found in grocery stores or health stores.
Hair styling fact
Hair sets best as it is cooling, not when it is heated up from blow-drying. Whether using hot rollers or a blow dryer, apply hair spray after hair has cooled to maximize the style.
Salon style hair
Want to achieve that salon style blowout at home? Separate your damp hair into several sections and blow-dry one at a time using a round or paddle brush. Taking the time to focus on each section will give you that overall salon look.
I saw DE's video on the site, what has she done. Her (NT) -- body and wardrobe looked amazing, but her face looked weird. she has had to much plastic surgery. it is a shame, i used to think she was attrative., Saturday, April 12, 12:38:00am

Top 10 in random order!
South Carolina, Jamie Hill: there is something about this girl that I love!! She has a killer body
MASSACHUSETTS,Jackie Bruno: I complete LOVE this girl and not because she is outrageously gorgeous, but she is a good person. I admire her, she is deff. a role model. My pick to win.
Oklahoma, Lindsey Jo Harrington: This girl has continulously caught my eye, I love her evening gown choice, and think she has the sex appeal that the Miss Universe Organization loves.
Indiana, Brittany Mason: I think shes very pretty, and will do very well, my only concern is that she is "too" nice.
New Jersey, Tiffany Andrade: No one has really brought up her yet, but I think she could be a surprise!
Rhode Island, Amy Diaz: Amy has what it takes, but her height is a huge issue. Also, the gown choice... very risky, could either help her, or hurt her. (I feel like she looks like shes going to an 80's prom)
Missouri, Candice Crawford: She seems so sweet and genuine. Although her gown was a risk, I LOVE IT!!! Its classic but modernized with the glitz. I feel awful saying this, but I think her brothers status will help her... I dont agree with it, but it could influence the judges...
Pennsylvania, Lauren Merola: Damn girl! Gorgeous and exotic looking. Think she will do very well.
Florida, Jessica Rafalowski: Total sweetheart, and has a different look. I dont think I have seen anyone who looks like her. She is new to pageants but is a knockout! LOOK AT HER ABS IN SWIMSUIT!! she is JACKED The only thing is that I feel her gown is to prom like.
Georgia Amanda Kozak: I can't stop thinking... Georgeeeea Georgiaaaaa. Beautiful!
So that is my list, I was disappointed with the evening gowns, I felt it was too Miss America, and I was looking for more sexy!! Lastly, all 51 girls are gorgeous and ranked top 51 in the country, that in itself is a huge accomplishment! I hope in a few years I can win a state title and go to Miss USA, not many girls get to do that!

Danielle,
Congratulations on becoming Miss New York USA. All of the faculty and staff here at Dillard High in Fort Lauderdale have been contacted. We'll be rooting for you on Friday night! We are so proud of YOU!
Subject: Not sure how to insert pictures or hyperlinks on here - but here's some pics of Miss DE 2008's appearances http://missdelawareusa.com/demiss_gallery.html..I must say I'm much more impressed now. That first appearance shot that was posted on here a while back wasn't so great. Vincenza's really stepped up and I think Delaware may finally make T15!!
Subject: After viewing arrival photos...my top Northeast girls are: Mass, Penn, NJ. I LOVE RI, but she doesn't seem to be a standout in the photos...sad, because she has been such a great ambassador for USA. What was Del thinking when she wore a suit...everyone else was in cocktail dresses??

Whomever is writing all this crap about Nicole obviously doesn't know her. I'm not really good friends with her, but I know when people are genuine and not, and everything that comes out of her mouth, good or bad, is real.
She cares deeply about issues and helped Delaware USA's numbers no matter what anyone says!
Leave this girl be and let her do what she wants with her life. If you want to bash anyone, bash those former teens who are under 18 and pregnant or have been arrested for underage drinking and driving. Don't bash someone who is in an online contest, which by the way she has the most classy photos on there unlike a lot of girls with their tops off.
I'm new to this whole board thing and I have to say you people make me sick and I wish never to return to a place where people are so mean and their lives are consumed by this board. Who are you to think your so high and mighty to talk down on people? These things are horrible and all you contestant bashers really need a life and yes I have been bashed on these boards, but I'm glad that Nicole, I, and many contestants do not care what you all think.
End the bashing now.
Thank you for your visit to the NorthEast Forum for Miss USA
