Couple of tech questions that have been asked in the past few days... What style/type of carb is legal? The TPSA Rule page states: "All engine combinations are limited to a single 4 barrel carb", further described as "Stock 4500 Holley flange" , and "Throttle bore(s) limited to 2.250". The new generation "toilet" style carb (1 large butterfly/venturi) is excluded by rule as are any carbs that don't meet the existing criteria. Exactly what tranny combos are legal? The rules say "Powerglide (2 speed) based factory type automobile automatic transmission required", "Aftermarket cases and/or tailhousings are allowed". Transmission, gearsets, case, & tailhousing MUST be based on a powerglide only. This eliminates any trans that does not use a P/G case, whether stock or aftermarket.
