***Attention in the Pits***<br><br>Spoke with John Mandabach @ HMP this afternoon and the sun was shining with 90* temp and clear skies. He said it didn't rain Wednesday or today, and the water table isn't high enough to cause a problem even if a shower was to come Friday. While the forecast isn't perfect, we all know how unpredictable the weather can be in the Houston area. Bottom line, John said we're racin', the Abbott's are leaving in the am, the Hill Country Boyz plan to be on the road around 7pm, so load on up, come out Friday nite, hang out, bench race, or just catch some R&R....should be a really nice day Saturday afternoon and nite. -- Texas Pro Stock Association Message Board

Spoke with John Mandabach @ HMP this afternoon and the sun was shining with 90* temp and clear skies. On a different note, Charlie Robinson (new member Charles Robinson's son) was good naturedly givin' ol DH the business @ Evadale. Seems young Charlie is convinced a member of his generation surely could wear out an ol grey beard like DH on the tree. While admittedly DH ain't as quick on the draw as he once was, he still considers himself average or so....so the issue of a practice tree throwdown was approached. Charlie said it shouldn't be much of a contest, a member of the video game brigade against someone older than black pepper...no offense of course. Anyway, rumor has it that the practice tree was the first thing packed in the 'Home and sometime this weekend the showdown is happenin'. Boxman, Quickdraw, and I'm sure some other hitters will want the winner...Stay Tuned!
