The TPSA made it's inaugural appearance at Dallas Raceway's 1st Annual Halloween Monster Drags and as soon as we rolled in the gate and took a quick look around, it was obvious the "Palace" would have no trouble living up to it's name. The attention to detail to the entire venue has to be seen to be fully appreciated. There will be a complete report with pic's (hopefully tomorrow), but the story is way too big to be tackled tonite. We extend our thanks to the fans & all the Halloween kids that came out, the Barnes family, Sammy Lattner, Cindy, and the entire crew @ Dallas Raceway.

Back to the race action....there were plenty of ghosts, goblins, witches, and all types of costumes roaming the pits as everyone was in the Halloween spirit. But at the end of the nite, newly crowned 2009 Champ, Larry Pearce would face the outgoing Champ, Joe Pigford for the event title and braggin' rights. En route to the final, Pigford had broken the TPSA et record (which he already owned) with a string of 4.56's and bracket like consistency. In the final he laid down a pass that will "haunt" the troops over the winter...a 4.546! He reset the mph record earlier in the semi's with @ 153.20. Pearce's .007rt 4.641 @ 151.78 couldn't stop the flyin' "Pig", and the party was on in the "Pig Pen". The Cowger/Wood team finished as the semi-finalist. Congratulations to them and all of the teams and crewmembers that recorded simply outstanding performances... and most recorded personal bests @ the "Palace"! More of that story later.

The complete race report will be combined with a 2009 Season re-cap and it too will be lengthy. Watch here for all of the details and plenty of pics after the track story is posted. Look for the final points standings and the race result page to be posted by mid afternoon tomorrow.
