***Update on Tommy Costales***

Friday afternoon after work & headed to the house, Tommy was involved in a wreck on I-45 near Almeda Genoa. He was running about 45mph in the only lane that was moving to due a stalled car/crash on the shoulder, when a large roll back wrecker darted into his lane. TC struck the rt ft door and ft wheel of the wrecker and was propelled into the guard rail. The wrecker driver was ticketed while TC was transported to the Clear Lake Hospital with a compression fracture of a vertabra in his lower back near the beltline.

Big Tom is scheduled for surgery on Monday and the reports are it's a fairly minor surgery (if anything can be minor where your back is concerned!) with a very high success rate. Most patients are up and walking the day of the procedure.

When I spoke to him this afternoon, he was already tired of being in the hospital but seemed in good spirits overall.. obviously he is on pain meds at this time, but he was still TC. Please keep Tommy, Cindy, and the extended Costales family in your thoughts and prayers, and we hope for a speedy & full recovery for Tommy!
