***Schedule Updates***

I deleted the previous posts regarding a make up race because I misunderstood the intent of what Rick said. Here are the facts and the most current info:

1) The TPSA season ends October 31 as stated @ the Banquet.

2) We will not race in July as Derryl and his wife have surgery planned and a couple of teams booked vacations around our schedule. All of these folks made it a point to verify that we would not race in July a few weeks ago.

3) I like the idea of double points but I think it needs to be in place at the beginning of the season so everyone knows about it in advance and can plan accordingly. Definitely something to think about and a probable addition for the 2012 season.

4) We are working on a couple of possibilites right now for a make up event. I will email the teams with info and get their input as needed. Before a make up race is scheduled all of the teams input will be considered and a decision will be made that is as fair as possible to all concerned.

5) Any schedule change/update will be posted here after the teams are notified by email.

Here's an overview of what we're faced with regarding a make up date.

Every date in Aug, Sep, or Oct, except the following, would result in 3 EVENTS IN A ROW, and some of these dates result in back 2 back races!

Aug 6th

Aug 20th (b2b HMP Aug 13th)

Aug 27th

Sep 3 Labor Day Weekend (b2b Dallas Sep 10th)

Oct 29th (b2b Evadale 22nd)

3 in a row is not an option for most teams, and my thought was not many want to race on Labor Day Weekend. If you haven't done so already, please email me your input... -- DH, 06/23/11 12:21pm
