[> [> there are 4 maybe 5 guys willing to spend that kind of money here locally, if TPSA were a national deal i would say keep it and see who runs out of money first. no differaent than comp or pro stock or any other heads up class. it all comes down to who is willing to spend the most. with teh pro class rules the way they are now you can be competitive with 1100 hp and a decent car. you wont see the engines make much more than 1100 with the current rules this will keep a level feild for many years, do you think the average fan gives a shit if an extreme owner spent 70k on a motor or a pro guy that spent 25k. do you think they care if you just went 4.55 or 4.75 still fast and is it worth isolating this into 2 classes when you cannot even fill an 8 car feild in either. getting off track and rambling i will shut up now . BTW I do appreciate what it takes to get wher the extreme guys are they are definatly the baddest conventional headed boys in the world, but to what end. -- fan, 08/26/11 12:15pm

[> [> [> You've answered many of the points you're trying to make within your own discussion. One thing I don't understand about your solution is how does eliminating a class help car count? Our host tracks want a minimum of eight quality cars. At this time each of our classes need the other to have a viable program. I dream of the day that TOO many cars show up on race day and a decision has to be made on how to qualify them! -- DH, 08/26/11 1:14pm

[> [> [> [> run an all run deal #1 gets the bye first then best rt or fastest pass previous rd gets bye whatever, the guys in exteme still get to go almost as fast without proving they are millionaires i am sure they would love to keep a few $'s in thier pockets and still have fun are you saying if you did away with the extreme class what boos hog will go back to comp no he will sell the heads or set them aside and put back on what he had 5 years ago, richard is most likely going adrl mr woods also has some of the older heads as well as larry not like its a big deal to save a few bucks and not to have to do constant r& d might as well run comp pays better or run adrl also pays better this was suppose to be fun and it is but cmon when does it slow down? -- fan, 08/26/11 4:34pm

Mr Fan, we run an all run format now and the random draw is here to stay. I haven't heard that the XTREME guys want a change, or heard from anyone of them wanting to restructure the class to save $$$. Are you sayin' the XTREME guys would be happy to shelve the combo's they've worked on, & spent big $$ on, for years to run PRO? IF so, the option is in place for them without a rule change. Are you saying you're part of an XTREME team that wants to run PRO and is waiting for a rule change to make it easier??

I still don't see the advantage to your "plan" or a significant difference to our existing program. If you want to run with us in PRO great! What happens in XTREME doesn't affect you except that they help insure car count, put on a great show, and they have seniority in the class. Yes Richard is planning on running ADRL next year but he has also said he'd support the TPSA as well. It's no secret that Wood's looking @ ADRL too so time will tell. Haven't heard any alternate plans out of the "PigPen", Pearce, or Hanson, and until these guys say they want a change or quit showing up....TPSA is gonna try to provide them a place to race.

Why don't you call me sometime @ 512 756 6384 to discuss this further...it's easier to talk vs type and make sure we're talking about the same thing. Thanks,
