New Guys are waitin on Santa Clause to come, ask him for a wheel barrow full of Horsepower for next year!! Heard that both Pigfords went low 50's in testing though,it may be time to go back to bracket racing, may be gettin too rich for my blood.

No one in there right mind could rightfully discount the time,effort,money and experience that has been applied from the "PIG PEN" to win the championship or run the low numbers. I think the message above was meant as a caution to TPSA that you"TOP DOGS" are getting close to breaking into the 40's which as you know will require more stringent,more costly safety equipment and chassis certification. This my friend may eliminate several of the "THEMS" who may not be as financially well off as you out of the program. You may only want a "TOP DOG" field of 6 to 7 cars, but I personally think 12 to 16 cars make for a better show even if they are slower! You guys are already down to 6 to 8 cars on a consistent basis. I totally understand the point about doing whatever it takes, but how far can you go? Pigford and Otwell and there friends dominate now and are picking up the pace as we speak. I love TPSA, but can tracks continue with you if eventually there are just the 6 or so running the whole season? I don't know what the answer is, but How do you encourage more cars to participate at the current cost and more?

Any "heads-up"class is going to have a few guys that do what it takes to run up front, a few guys who work on their stuff and continually improve in an effort to catch the front runners, and then the rest of THEM. The "THEMS" come and go for a lot of different reasons (expense, time, lack of expertise, and others). Thats the nature of racing as I have observed it in my some 40 yrs. in the sport. If TPSA had a $10,000.00 purse per event and a $50,000.00 Championship award you'd see some guys showing up to run this deal that would make our fastest cars look like "Ned and the 1st Reader". Yea Roy and I ran fast testing at HRP but the air was 800', the track was good, and the humidity was 55%. RO, Larry,Talley/Nickens, Cowger/Woods and Clint would have all been in the 50's in my opinion.
