2010 Champions Banquet

The Phat Ford Motorsports/Bluff Creek Speed Authority Entry,
sponsored by Andeler Power, welcomed the guests outside the main entrance


Andeler Power's President, Sam Holton, and Operations Manager, Marci Irvine,
were on hand to enjoy the festivities, and answer questions regarding conversions



The 2010 Championship Banquet was a sold out affair, and a fitting end to the 2010 TPSA Season. Special guests included Sam Holton and Marci Irvine of Andeler Power, sponsors Tommy and Cindy Costales of Houston Engine & Balancing, and Gary Lidiak of Lidiak Motorsports. TCI & Stanley Poff awarded gift certificates to the Champ and runner up, and our thanks to 2010 sponsors Brink Racecraft, The Fab Shop, Bumbera's Performance, Reher-Morrison, Rutland Transmission, Eddie Hollon, and Andeler Power for supporting the Banquet.

Speaking of Andeler Power, in association with Bluff Creek Speed Authority, a new class is in the works for 2011. The concept was announced at the Banquet, and while it's a work in progress, the basics are to provide a place within the TPSA format for a smaller team to utilize readily available parts, with fewer resources required for crewmembers, and R&D, and a less intense maintenance schedule. Most of the existing rules will dovetail with the new class, but more stringent controls will be in place regarding the hardware permitted. Provisions will be in place to insure a level playing field for the competitors. More details soon.

Of course the the folks that have rewritten the conventional head, N/A record books, and received national attention, will be back doing battle with their ultimate combinations, personnel, and cutting edge technology. Joe & Roy Pigford, Richard Otwell, Team Talley/Nickens, Team Cowger/Wood, and Larry Pearce will be joined in the Texas Pro Stock XTREME ranks by DH, Rick Hanson, Lance Abbott, and Clint Crownover. At this time Team Phat Ford, Aaron Hubbard, Donald Hughes, Randy Elliott, Team Robinson/Wilkerson, and a couple of others are gearing up for an assault on the Texas Pro Stock division. Should be some awesome on track action with very close pairings and tight finishes.

A special thanks to Rick Hanson for his work in putting the Banquet details together once again. Thanks to all of the teams and everyone that came out for the Banquet and for making the 2010 Season the best yet! You missed a good time if you weren't there. The pictures below tell at least part of the story!
