As someone correctly pointed out below, more lighting = more $$$, which is why it is as dark as it is. One small fix that wouldn't cost much, if anything, is if they used the rear projection screen to project very light or bright backgrounds - outdoor scenes for swimsuit, famous landmarks for evening wear, bright geometrics or patterns for talent that coordinated with contestant's outfit, and bolder, more up-to-date typography that said Miss California Pageant. At least they had those white drapes rolling down from the ceiling this year. Every little bit helps. | |
