you're completely wrong. It's John Allen, the Vatican correspondent of the Nat'l Catholic Reporter and a Ratzinger biographer, who has said that he wanted to return to teaching. bfg, I never mentioned John Allen. My reference to Cardinal Ratzinger's supposed desire to go back to teaching came directly out of YOUR post, to which I was replying. I'm not a reader of the National Catholic Reporter, and don't think one has to read "VERY liberal magazines" (your words, again) to conclude that the new Pope is an anachronism.
