The players Hill brought in may have been academically "challenged students", but they were not expelled, were never involved in drugs, bribes, a transcript scandal, a strip club/hooker incident, or featured in a tell-all book. And all that drama was in the past what, two years? Fordham doesn't recruit such people, and those kind of incidents don't happen because our AD is actually strict. But even if something did happen at Fordham I'm sure it would be handled appropriately, and you certainly wouldn't see our AD shamelessly trying to get waivers from the consequences. -- Fordham Rams Basketball Message Board

- I disagree. Just because we have had incidents like everybody else doesn't mean our reaction should be one of tolerance for that level of unethical behavior. An occasional incident can be put in some perspective, depending on the facts and resolution. But the number and seriousness of St. Johns' incidents, after having benefitted from questionable practices for so long, and their audacity to suggest it's not fair they be held accountable, that's what I'm really objecting to.
