Subject: I heard something along those lines, too, plus the assistant coach that left went to Georgetown, too.
In reply to: Rambacker 's message, "Heard both those recruits were blue chippers and rejected by Fordham Admissions but both accepted by Georgetown and ended up Hoyas. True?" on Sat March 12, 2005 13:08:54

  • The story is the one girl was a top recruit. Her father was brought along as an assistant coach. The 2nd girl is practically like family to this top recruit. She is the one who could not academically qualify. Therefore, they all decided to leave and go to Georgetown who would admit them. Her father went back to coaching h.s. I believe they also lost another assistant coach. (NT) -- Air Hej '02, Sat March 12, 2005 14:10:47
  • This story has been re-told 1000 times., It has nothing to do with a 5 year abysmal record. FIRE this guy yesterday, hire a mid major coach like the one at St. Francis in PA. Get rid of him NOW! (NT) -- ant hill, Sun March 13, 2005 14:22:00
  • The other part of the story, as I heard it, was that the star recruit was quite upset with the lack of discipline and direction; when she confronted the coach with this observation there was no response. Coupled with her friend's rejection by admissions, all left. No response is quite damming, IMHO. (NT) -- RJA, Sun March 13, 2005 16:47:03
