Subject: Pre-season ratings tend to be politically correct. Mitchell , by most accounts, is expected back for A-10 play while Rob Loe is expected to slip into Reed's spot.

Mitchell's late entry into the season and the nature of the absence and the uncertainty likely resulted in his omission.
The coaches also like to get as many teams involved in these pre-season selections as possible. There are 15 slots and 12 teams represented. Only UMass, St. Joes and suprisingly #5 Rhode Island are unrepresented.
