Belma Nuric of Baldwin High has already verbally commitee to go to Duquesne in 2011. She & Madison Cable were first team AAAA all-state this past season, and they both play on the same AAU team. Let's hope that playing for a hometown university attended by both her mom & dad will sway Madison's college decision. These two girls coupled with the recruits who will be freshmen this season, 6-3 wing Orsi Szecsi, (Budapest, Hungary/Oak Hill (Va.) Academy) & 6-1 forward Wumi Agunbiade, (Pickering, Ontario/Dunbarton) will elevate the women's program to another level. -- Duquesne Dukes Basketball Forum

For the record, it is Belma Nurkic, right? Cable dounds like she would be a really nice get.. Bit surprised by the DEL thing, EDD will be a senior when she gets there and that coach hasn't put a step forward adding anybody else to that probram. - There's only one Belma on Baldwin's team. Yes, her last name is spelled, Nurkic. I saw the Mt Lebo-Baldwin PIAA playoff game at Chartiers Valley. I thought that Belma was better than Madison Cable - at least in that game. Cable, however, had a very good game in the PA State Championship. Delaware maybe an attraction because of its academics (ranked 75 in US News), its beautiful campus, & its location (near Philly, Baltimore and not to far from NYC).
