Subject: Unfortunately I haven't heard much about Bill or Damian that hasn't already been posted by others. I knew Bill worked hard over the summer to finish his undergrad work. Hopefully he's right in thinking that he will now have more time to devote to basketball. I'd love to see his play improve. I'm sure Damian also worked hard over the summer to keep in shape, and I'm not really worried about his performance. My thoughts about the starting 5 are inside.
In reply to: El Duque 's message, "UncivilDKizzle, what are you hearing about Damian and Billy, strength & conditioning wise? They didn't play much in the summer league because of the prospect of the European trip. I think we've got good scouting reports on everyone but them. Also, I'd like to hear your take on a starting 5." on Sunday, August 29, 09:05:51am

I too agree that the opening game lineup should be Clark, Saunders, Evans, Monteiro and Johnson/Peggau. Of those last 2 I give my edge to Sean Johnson, but if Ron Everhart feels that Rodrigo has progressed enough, maybe he deserves it.

Personally I'd expect TJ McConnell to make his first start before conference play starts. That is, if he performs as well as he has the potential to, and doesn't act like too much of a prima donna (what I think is his biggest danger, in my limited experience). However, I'd really hate to see Eric Evans bumped from his position. I'm a big supporter of his as I know how hard he works, and he's really improved a lot in the past year.

Mike Talley I'd like to see subbing in and maybe catching a start or two somewhere, if he earns it. Martin, Jones, and Wright I really know very little about so I can't comment too much. If any of them earns it I'd love to see them given a chance to contribute.
