Who could forget the A-trains (no disrespect to Don Vito L-Train)? Their arrival coincided with the hiring of Mike Rice and had the city quite pumped. The Atkins & Arnold hype was the biggest I can recall. And for someone who left town, how about Lloyd Moore's recruitment? A big factor in him leaving town was he was tired of all the publicity. (NT) -- VBC, Friday, July 23, 03:09:54pm
- Wow, Lloyd Moore. He was John's "little" brother, right? He and Billy Varner (BB's cousin) were guys in the pre-Internet days who were thought to be "locks" for us. Lloyd had a world of potential but an injury at Marquette and the inability to control his weight at Rutgers cost him. Varner was decent at Notre Dame.
