"You stupid bastard!!" Virgil swore--at the enemy pilots for setting up the trap, and at himself for walking into it. One of the larger ships had broken off the attack, heading toward's Ser's damaged Leo. Virgil picked him off...but in the process drew no less than twelve craft after himself.

He hadn't heard from the others in several minitues--huis communications were out. Maybe he'd lost his antenna....or a non-lethal hit had KO's the set...or maybe his communicator had just died, since the Zaku he was flying looked as it it hadn't been repaired since the Nixon administration. And since he was too busy to try and find them with his powers, he had no clue where the others were in this melee--or even if they were still alive...

Sweat dripped into his eyes. He blinked and shook his head, trying to keep his vision clear as best he could as his suit darted about, dodging multiple attacks. He couldn't fire back; his 120mm MG had run out of ammo, and slowing down for even the four seconds he'd need to reload would spell his end.

The one thing keeping him allive was his opponent's stupidity. In their over eagerness to pick him off they were shooting blindly without regard to their own, and more than a few Patrol ships were being hit by "friendly" fire...but it wouldn't last. Unlike his regular mech, this one required propellant, and Virgil had no clue how mucm more was left in the tanks. And most dangerous of all--he was getting tired, worn out from the constant manivering and being pulled about by the g-forces created by his evasive flying. He'd either make a mistake or run out of fuel--and that would be the game.

I guess this is it, then... He began looking around, trying to pick out one last target. If he was going down, he was at going to take at least a few of these people with him...
