Thank you all for the Happy Birthday Wishes!! Beaty, the Mr. A pic is PERFECT.....He was such a GORGEOUS MAN...I truly miss him!!!!....Judy you are SO right that SNOW is headed this way...now if it will just actually swing up our way and dump LOTS of the Fluffy stuff here in my town my birthday will be complete!!!...I spent the last couple of days celebrating with family & friends and it was a Happy....ummmm....45th for me...that is so hard to say. I only read one Susan Johnson book. Johnny's book is great? I have to get it and read it, Judy - I don't have it in my TBR pile, but it sounds good. Moreover I have a question about the hype about "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. I always thought it is a teen Vampire novel, but now with the movie everybody seems to know the book. Therefor I wanted to know if the book is any good and if I should read it or if it is just a teen book??? By the way, I got Sherrilyn's latest book "Dream Warrior" today and spent the rest of the day reading - and I really enjoyed it. Great book! So many new twists and turns - I am already curious how things will go on. Some other topics were solved and that was interesting too - and I got to "see" Ash, Tory and Zarek again!

Susan, I haven't read TWILIGHT, but I have read a number of posts and reviews. Sheesh, what a wild swing. Some people say that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, and some people say thIat it is dreck, and some people say it is Mormon PR. I haven't seen such differing opinions since forever. I just posted a review on my blog for HOPE’S FOLLY by Linnea Sinclair. It’s the third book of her Dock 5 series, following GABRIEL’S GHOST (#1, and 2006 RITA winner), and SHADES OF DARK (#2, and sequel to GG). Linnea writes rollicking Space Opera with smart heroines, to die for heroes, and knuckle-biting plots. Drop by my blog and check out my review of HOPE’S FOLLY. Long Update - get a big mug of coffee -- SusanZ., Saturday, February 21, 10:10:52am 
Another day, I met the girls, who read romance too, again – and as always we had a great time chatting, talking books and new authors and comparing our favorite stories. 
It was really nice and I liked it a lot. I got a small Christmas tree and ornaments and although it was a little tight in the small flat we had a good time. I enjoyed the three days off and just relaxed and read a lot. 
New Year’s Eve was great too. In the afternoon, Dad and I went to the “Silvesterpfad”, which is a path through the inner city with lots of booths with food, champagne, lucky charms and so on. Lots of music, dance lessons at the city hall and lots of fireworks. 
It really was fun there. Afterwards, we went home again, had our traditional food and celebrated together, which was wonderful. On January 1st my parents and I went to the theatre to see a comedy, which was really cute and fun plus a good start into the New Year. 
I am so happy that I finally made it and now there is only the big graduation celebration left, which will be on April 3rd.
I am so excited and happy. 
Well, and now I have to find a job in hospital, which isn’t so easy in Vienna, but I will try! Regarding books: lately I read Julia Quinn’s “An Offer from a Gentleman”, which was cute, but I liked the first two books better. I also started my first Julie Ortolon book “Drive me Wild”, which is really cute and fun. I enjoy reading it.
– I will post more often and then shorter pieces of my life!

Book Report -- SusanZ., Sunday, February 15, 12:25:08pm I wanted to post my opinion about a few books, I read lately. 
First of all, I continued the Velvet Series by Jude Deveraux. I already complained about German translations and book covers with the first book and it continues!
– is feisty and strong, which I liked a lot, although sometimes she is a bit pigheaded. The hero is a hot, understanding guy, has humour and tries to learn about the Scottish lifestyle. The funniest thing was, that the German translator for this book obviously was another one than the one for the first book, because the villain in the first book, who wants Gavin is called Lilian. Then in the second book, Stephen thinks how Gavin had tons of trouble with his wife because of his unfortunate involvement with his mistress Alice. Therefore I was literally thinking “who the f**k is Alice??” until I found out that Lillian of the first book is no other than Alice! 
– not very romantic. Eventually, I read the 3rd part of the Montgomery stories: “Velvet Song”, which I enjoyed, but I liked the second book better. Now I am reading the 4th part “Velvet Angel”, which I like best. Hero and Heroine are good characters and the story is thrilling – even the cover isn’t that bad! Moreover, I read my first Susan Johnson book “To Please a Lady” – I liked that it was about a younger man and an older woman and the many historic references. I enjoyed the footnotes and the information you got about Scottish society. The sex scenes were very hot too, which I enjoyed a lot too, but the story wasn’t that exceptional. Now I am reading the famous Woodiwiss book “Shanna”. It took me a while to get used to her style of writing and the old phrases she uses, but the story is good. I am enjoying the thick book – and, well it is a classic! Moreover, I read the Anthology “Midnight Pleasures”, which I liked a lot too. The first story is from Amanda Ashley and I enjoyed it very much. Much better than the book from her that I read lately, which was called “A Darker Dream”, because the hero – the vampire – in the book, is always going on about how terrible it is to be immortal and live at night and that he wants to be human again – and that is one of my pet peeves. I hate immortals who only want to turn mortal again so they can get sick and die (and complain all the way), pffft.
Furthermore, I read my first Galen Foley book “The Pirate Prince”, which is a wonderful historical romance and I loved it!I did a few re-reads lately: two Kenyons, whose are my favourites: “Kiss of the Night” and “Dance with the Devil” – I love Zarek and his story and am happy to read on Sherri’s homepage that in her future books he will appear again! Wulf’s story was very good too and I loved to see another side of the Apollites and Daimons than the one we knew before. Great story!A friend gave me the Patricia Briggs book “Moon Called”, which is absolutely fantastic. Normally, I don’t like stories where there is no happy – romantic – end and the heroine has lots of guys to choose from and decides in book 3 or 4. But this one was so exciting, a wonderful plot and the two guys she can’t decide are both hot and cool, so I already bought the next one and am curious what will happen in this book.
