Ed, I was surprised to see your post apologizing to me. I cannot help but wonder about the sincerity of your apology. Your latest attacks have been quite personal. You showed up on the boards not too long ago, knowing nothing about Boerboels but suggesting that you could “devise a business plan” to help the BB breeders with their “breeding and marketing” of their pups. You posted on another thread that in June, when you came to Ronnie’s house, you were so new that you didn’t recognize prolapse when you saw it. In less than 4 months you have become the resident expert and attacked me because our understanding of demodectic mange differed.
However, I don’t want to be mean spirited. I did not start breeding dogs to make enemies or alienate people. I understand that you are being influenced by others and didn’t even come over and see my dogs while you were up here in Oklahoma, so all you know about me is second hand. You are being fed incorrect information (Ruby has never been sold or offered for sale, she is right here where she was born).
Now, considering the zeal that most newcomers bring to the table, and the fact that you have been fed a lot of crap and misinformation about me, I can accept that you might have developed a bad impression of me from the second-hand stories you’ve been fed. If you truly want to start over and are willing to acknowledge that there is often more than one line of thought about a subject, and not try to attack anyone who has an honest difference of opinion from you, I will accept your apology and we can start over. (It may take a little time before I accept your words at face value, but I will not automatically suspect the worse. Time will tell).
