"Does this mean you don't care about culls after all?"

I care about it enough to give it some thought and then even bring it up on a board where there may be people with the same types of questions and doubts about it. Obviously you're not one of them.

"You don't want one?"

No thank you, but I'll let you do your own dirty work. Afterall it's your hobby.

"You're more concerned about culls in theory than in practice? Just stirring?"

Stirring, no. I would say that I am trying to shed light on a point of view that is not so popular in the dog world in general, because it does have merit and it is difficult to argue against.

"And Dan, I do not have twenty wrenches of the same type to do the same job...I have six breeds presently doing all they can do...I only attempt to breed in two breeds...the rest I have to find just like you do."

Now you really have me curious. I'll ask again. What is it that these Boerboels do so well that it would justify having (I'll guess) 10 + or - of them on a farm and then breeding them for the purpose of doing the work on the farm? Not to mention the other breed that you are breeding and the other 4 types of breeds that you have on the farm to do other types of work. I mean, look at this next sentence.

(from your first post)
"I have to have dogs for myself, they are tools I need, I have to make pups, and I can’t seem to get the bitch to just have the number I need…so I end up with extra."

You end up with EXTRA? What is it that you're doing there? Supplying the Chinese with dogs for cart pulling? Six different types of breeds on one farm, two of which are being bred?

"...but you might brush up on your reading before you dive in here."

I'll take my chances and just dive right in. Afterall what could happen? You or anyone else come up with a response that can balance the issue? That has been my only goal so far. But you seem to want to sail right past that and go straight towards the personal attacks. Good luck.

Besides, between keeping up with the boards, work and trying to finish up a book by an author that your buddy NDE recommended, it's keeping me quite busy already.
