My husband has used Wellbutrin on the occasions when he has tried to quit smoking. They aren't without side effects, for one thing they make him unsleepy (can't sleep as well). If it works for you great! but are you going to rely on a pill for the rest of your life to keep the weight off? Something to consider. -- DietLowCarb.com

The "Insomnia" side-effect is caused by the 2nd pill later in the day. I ask my clients to take it well before 4p.m. in the day. Some just take the 1 pill in the morning and find that holds them for the day along with the use of the patch. Hope this helps. We just use it in the "Addiction Breaking Weeks" 6-12 weeks depends how long & how much a peson has been smoking. Interesting how it helps some people with carb cravings and not others!
