Author: Shara
Subject: I used to wonder that myself, but then a couple of doctor friends told me that they spent so little time learning about nutrition they just follow the national standards. The way it was explained was that unless their career was going to be with dieting (few go this way) and nutrition they probably don't know any better than anyone else what works. I would try to find a doctor that agrees with the plan, if he feels better on it, then that should be telling him something. I'm glad his blood sugar is going down. I know when mine is up I feel awful and can be a real crab.

  • I think Shara's right. I read somewhere that Doctors are NOT responsible for your health only for your sickness. They don't have the time to keep up on all the latest treatments, they sure don't have the time to worry about prevention. (NT) -- Sherry, 19:16:32 08/07/02 Wed
