Subject: New guy with questions

I did the Atkins plan about 3 years ago and lost app 40 pounds. It was very difficult as I have a terrible IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) problem, and am suppose to be on a high fiber low fat diet. At any rate, I dealt with it to get the weight off........my stomach "problems" were terrible.

I have put about 20 pounds back on and went back on Atkins about 2 weeks ago. So far Ive lost about 9 pounds.

I am taking sugar free Metamucil for my IBS problem, and it contains about 5 g carb per dose. Am I correct that sugar-free fiber doesnt count in my carb-count? Also, whats up with the Atkins Low Carb bars? I ate some a few days ago and it stalled the heck out of me! I thought it was great that there was now something there for my occasional sweet-tooth........and the label says its good for stages 1-4.......but I am hearing other people say these things arent really what they claim?

Im new here and will definately be checking back in.

I work a VERY hectic schedule and "preparing" low carb dishes..well, I just dont have time. Any tips for fast munchables that will break up the "meat and egg" routine would be very helpful!

And, yes, I have read Atkins first and now his latest book.

Thanks in advance!
