Hi Kristi, I am fairly new here too but it sure is a great place to come to when you are feeling low. Everyone is great! Low carbing is hard but you can do it. I have been on LC since Jan. 1, and have lost 41 lbs. Not great but it it feels like a million pounds to me sometimes. I still have about 30 to go until I am satisfied. This board has helped me when I stalled and the advice here is wonderful. You can do it I know you can and now that you have found all of us we will help. It is really nice to talk to people who know where you are coming from and can understand your frustrations. Good luck to you.

  • A tip to get started... -- Paula, 06:15:24 09/06/02 Fri
  • Excellent advice -- it's a lot harder to get dressed, grab your keys and go out and buy bad food than it is to just grab it out of the cupboard when you are having a weak moment. It's also very important to know the plan you wish to follow, so I highly recommend buying, borrowing or checking-out the book from the library; at least read a chapter or 2 of it before you start. P.S. I can't tell you how many times I sat in front of the PC also, with a bag of cookies or bowl of pasta wishing I could find some folks with the same problem I had. Glad to see you here -- good luck! (NT) -- Kel, 07:28:43 09/06/02 Fri
