I thnk she is doing the Body for Life (BFL) program with a low carb diet. The official BFL website is http://www.bodyforlife.com It is a combination workout regimen and nutritional plan. The lowcarber.com site has a message board for people who are doing a low carb version of the BFL plan.

If you have never done a low carb diet then you really should but a book to learn the fundamentals. There are many many many low carb diets - Atkins, Protien Power, Zone, Neanderthin just to name a few.

As for pills most plans advocate at a minimum a good multi vitamin and possibly potassium supplements.
