Subject: Good Saturday morning

Hi everybody. Today is weigh in... Do I want to check? No not really, I'm going to give it a little while first. My carbs have been a little higher than normal, my excercise level has been way higher than normal, and I'm pretty sure the scale will read that I am UP today. Excericse makes your muscles hang on to extra water so I'm not going to worry too much about what the scale says.

On the other hand, I bought some body fat calipers at the beginning of the week. Took my "fat percentages" then, and then today, just for fun I took them again. I really didn't expect to see any changes, and I'm not sure yet if I can trust the changes I did see. But what I'm reading is like a 2% change in body fat since I took them earlier this week.

I really have a hard time believing that. And it may just have to do with my inexperience with using this new tool to measure with, but it makes me happy just the same.

IS it possible to lose 2% of your body fat in a week's time? Even with this much excercise? I don't know. The book says that people have lost as much as 10% over the length of the program, but that is 12 weeks, this is only a week. Could it be that like Atkins when you first start, most of your big gains are at the beginning?

Anyway I feel thinner. If it is just an illusion, I will take it anyway.
