Subject: your KY relatives...
In reply to: Sherry 's message, "Hey Kristi" on 10:29:21 09/08/02 Sun

i went to school in a small town called "danville" in central ky. i've never really gone too much into eastern ky, but it sure is pretty there! the reason i came down here was to see my family and spend some time with them, but i think in my heart i'm a northern girl. just to think that there are actually seasons up there in ky and ohio is amazing, growing up down here where every season is the "hot" season.
i guess the only big family names i'm familiar with are the caldwells, who practically owned the small town i went to college in. i'm sure they're probably related somewhere down the line with your family, somewhere! you're right, back in the day there weren't many people who moved around as much as we do, so roots are strong, especially in eastern ky. well, even down here i know several families who have never left mississippi or louisiana. i just don't have that in me, you know. i want to go everywhere!

oh, one of the dorms at my college is named "Bingham". small world :)
