It is easy to encourage others, harder to keep my own self enthusiastic about this WOL. Feel a little like a phoney when I do try and encourage someone else, except that doing so helps me too in the process, and I try not to do it from the aspect of someone who is perfect or who has all the answers. I've been struggling to live with this WOL for over 2 years now, and my weight loss struggles are much different from what they were when I first started.

The weight just FELL off when I was first doing this, and I would do anything to get back that speed and ease of losses. But I have to understand that it isn't going to happen that way anymore for me, and that it really SHOULDN'T happen that fast now. If it did it would mean I am losing too much muscle and water along with my fat and at this point of my progress that wouldn't be good.

So instead I have been focusing on trying to increase my metabolic rate by eating more often and by lifting weights and building as much muscle as I can. The change in my focus has helped, but it has messed with the diet some. Focusing on too many things isn't easy. Solid weight training makes you hungrier and you NEED to eat to build that muscle, so I sway around trying to find a happy balance for myself. But sometimes I just get so discouraged. I really thought that by the time 2 years was gone by I would be at my goal weight. Maybe if I were better at doing this right I would be.

On the other hand I'm still in the game, I haven't totally given up.

But thank you for your comments. They mean a lot to me. I had someone else at one time tell me something different, she told me that my being so "encouraging" to others when I couldn't stick to it myself was hard to read. She may have been right. But not everyone has the same struggles, we all need some help, some encouragement though and I do what I can.
