Subject: But watching how the technology has changed, just in the past few years, is almost scary. Only 15 years ago, cell phones were huge and bulky and only a few people even had them. Now you can text, take pictures and video, access your email and even watch TV. I have a feeling that it won't be too long before cell technology does away with the need for any kind of land line and possibly even a desktop computer!! We'll be able to do all of that stuff, including watching TV, on a cell phone that's no bigger than a credit card. Maybe it's time for me to learn how to text, huh? I think back to when Ken got his first cell phone, and he was the first in our family to do so, and I thought he was nuts. Now, I wouldn't live without it.

But he takes care of the DVD/VCR recorders, which I've never figured out. He maintains the computer. I do the phones. My job has lessened since we dropped the land line and passed our cordless phones to Ken, since our 2 handsetted Panasonic was better quality than his Uniden. But I just LOVE playing with new cell phones. I can't help it. And since they're now our only phones, I guess we gotta keep up. I offered him a Blackberry or a Palm Pilot and he said no.
