Sandy, you started something here....<br>when I was checking out your phone last night I saw the spot about keeping your own phone number....<br>Does anyone know if, even after all these years I could change my cell phone to include my home phone number? I know a friend of mine who just got Verizon not too long ago has the first three numbers as "512" or something like that then the final four are the same as her home phone...<br>I was kind of thinking this would be neat...??? -- Piggy's Pad

Gee, Kate. This is something I DON'T know. I would think, though, that if you changed your number, assuming it was available, you'd have a new activation fee to pay, and that could be very pricey. Customer Service should be working today since the calls go to a call center. If you manage to get through and get an answer to this, let me know what they say. In my case and in my defense, I wasn't that attached to my home phone number and my cell number is very easy to remember, so I think I'll keep it. I've had my own cell for at least 4 years and Gerry's had his cell since............oh, geez, I can't even remember when we first started with Verizon. I think it was 2000. I ended up giving up on trying to call..and then after reading you post about the possible activation fees and whatever else I decided it wasn't worth the trouble...plus after I got to thinking about it, I've had this same number for, oh my heavens, probably close to 7 or 8 years....not worth changing it now!!
