Happy July 1st to all of you!!! It's hard to believe that we're already into July. Wasn't it just last week that it was Christmas??? So far, this weekend has been very quiet. We've had a lot of rain in the past 4-5 days, but nowhere near the rain, and flooding, that's occurred just south of us. This low pressure system has kept us cool too. Yesterday, our high was 68!! Of course, the humidity makes everything feel wet but I can't justify having the air going when it's this cool, even if the humidity is high. But we're beginning to look forward to some sun, even if the weather people are saying that on July 4th, we'll be at 93. Well, okay, it IS July, after all. But yesterday was spent at the kitchen table, playing with my phone, doing some reading and getting the bills paid. Then we had steak and corn on the cob for dinner. Perfect!! -- Piggy's Pad

Hi there....I'm with you...I can't believe it's July 1st already...I'm still trying to figure out what happened to May and June!!!!
We've had a real nice break in the weather...it's been a little cooler and no humidity so it's been really comfortable. Which is a good thing because Rick has been putting in a couple of really rough days...his extraction site had been fine with no pain and very little swelling until Thursday night...then the pain started with a vengence...he has been on a steady regiment of pain pills and Motrin since t hen...he has a check-up on Tuesday and with the meds he is taking the pain is under control....but without it he is miserable. so I'm kind of glad our weather has cooled off some, if it had been really hot all weekend he really would've been miserable......I feel bad for him..Rick is not a complainer and is not one to take pain meds..so if he is then that tells me he is in one heck of a lot of pain.....guess I've been lucky..even with all the problems I've had with my teeth over the years and all of them that I've had pulled..I've never had a dry socket.... HI all! Happy July!!! We celebrated 30 years together by golfing yesterday...have decided that 18 holes is too much for me! : ) It's been a bit cooler here too Sandy but gonna get hot! We haven't had rain, we could use a bit. The news pictures of that flooding is awful! What a mess! Kate, I've had a dry socket and pain meds just aren't enough. He needs to see the dentist and all they do is put some meds on a piece of cotton and stick it in the hole and as soon as the exposed bone is covered the pain is gone! Thankfully he called the office this morning and they are fitting him in at 1:00 this afternoon......I'm glad about that too with the 4th coming up and knowing their office will be closed that day....this way they can get things moving in the right direction for him sooner......
