Subject: This past week has been awful!!!!!!

I have not been feeling well.... really bad headaches... turns out have another sinus and ear infection. Then Harley got sick with diarrhea from hell, and I was getting NO sleep cuz he kept having to go out. Can't just leave him out cuz it's too darn hot. We only had one accident in the house tho, cuz I was so tired I didn't hear him whining to go out again.

Goose's injury is not healing... he got a case of Proud Flesh (the edges of the wound granulated making the hole not close up). We have some special medication on order for him.

My IBS flared up big time..... probably stress and antibiotic combination.

Then to top all of this off..... our A/C goes out again. It's 116 here, and they have to find us a new coil before they can fix the a/c. I'm really hoping they find it tomorrow and come out EARLY in the morning!!!!!

I have had to keep my computer off quite a bit because it overheats with it so hot in here....

So...... I know I've been very negligent of late, but it was all I could do to cope with this past week.

I'm thinking of you all tho!!!!!

Oh Viki! Hell week!!!!!!!! I've never had a sinus infection, wonder what makes this a reoccuring thing for you? Hope the new med helps Goose, that sounds yechy! I know sometimes they have to clean up the edges to get it to heal, hope he doesn't have to have that done! I'm sorry I complain about 90 degrees when you have it that hot and a/c problems to boot! I can't imagine! I'd be living in the basement with the cats where it's cooler if our a/c went. I didn't know you had IBS. My mom started that Activia yogurt and has gotten some relief. Boy, you *have* had the week from hell, haven't you? I hear you on the sinus infections. The last one I had lasted 5 weeks (along with the headache) because at the time, we didn't have really good health insurance and I wasn't going to go see the doctor and run up a huge bill. These days, though, with double coverage, I'd be ringing the doc's doorbell, insisting on some antibiotics. And poor Harley. I wonder what he got into that gave him such a bad case of the trots? And poor Goose too. You've really had your hands full. Then to add your IBS to the heap and wow! It's no wonder you're overwhelmed. And the a/c is out again?? I'd be hiding in a tub full of cold water and not moving. We haven't gotten near that hot yet this year (that usually comes in August) but already, on the hot days, I strip clothes off after pulling the drapes and turning the ceiling fans on high. In fact, today's going to be that kind of day. Although we're still pretty cool (about 69) and it's cloudy and foggy out, we're supposed to get to 85 with lots and lots of humidity. And the stickiness is something I just can't deal with. Right now, the windows are open so the cats can watch the birds and squirrels but once it starts to heat up and the humidity makes it unbearable, the clothes are comin' off. Thanks guys...... still no coil to be found. Hopefully tomorrow, cuz with Wed. being a Holiday, that would push us to Thursday or Friday! Don't know if I can handle the heat for that long! They did recharge the system, so I get a little cool air. It's keeping the house at around 86-90 degrees..... which is a HELL of a lot better than 116! According to my little weather station, the humidity is hovering around 46% too.... so it's sticky and bleck. The Weather Channel says our humidity is only 11%, but they are full of kwap. Danny said the swamp coolers at his work weren't working today cuz it was so humid.... I think they test the levels way out in the middle of nowhere, and not in town where people actually live! I know this is no help because you're just plain miserable, but our humidity today was running at between 96% this morning and 80% this afternoon. When it was cloudy this morning, it wasn't too bad but the sun came out at about 12:30 and it heated up fast. That's when the a/c came back on. But at 86-90 degrees, I'd be downright pissy and miserable. Good god, Vicki, I hope they can find a new coil for you tomorrow.
