Subject: This whole issue hits a nerve with me since Snowy was sick during that time and we never could figure out what was going on with him. The news of the poisonings hadn't hit the news yet and the vets knew nothing. Thankfully, Snowy survived and had no lingering damage but I feel every day for those who lost beloved pets because some pet food company tried to cut corners.
In reply to: Guardian-of-4 's message, "It's been a year since the Pet Food Recall, and this date is only when the recall became official. The weeks preceding the recall are filled with stories of people who mysteriously lost pets due to kidney and liver failure. Half of my feral colony happened to disappear during those weeks. I cannot help but believe that the events are connected. (The food I was feeding them was never on the recall list, but it is quite possible that there was another feeder in the neighborhood.)… msg" on 1:43:26 pm, Mon, 03/17/08
