Subject: So, honestly, I wasn't expecting any thing out of the ordinary for her on these meds...all I figured to be looking for and would happen was that she would start to gain weight again instead of losing it....I just didn't expect her to get to lethargic/and puffy, and to gain 1.1 lbs in a little over a week....like Rick said, that would be the equilivant of him gaining 20 lbs in the same amount of time...something that sounds impossible..and definitley not a healthy thing to do.....So, for now, I'm just holding my own until I talk to Dr. Lee and see where we go from there...I want to do what's best for Maggie...for her happiness and for her health.......

I know what you are saying about expecting/hoping to have a huge surge when you started your meds for your thyroid Sandy...but my main problem is Maggie was acting fine, eating fine and using the litter box just fine and playing and down right acting normal UNTIL we started the meds..it was then she started acting sick.....so really outside of the weight loss I don't think Dr. Lee would have even checked her thyoid....Maggie gave us absolutely no indication in her actions that there was anything wrong...." on 7:22:22 pm, Sun, 03/23/08
