Happy, Happy Thursday, all!! We're having a nice, fairly quiet day at home but Gerry's taking down the tree. Biscuit never did *climb* the tree but he, Snowy and Cricket have been playing with the lower branches and chewing on the light cords so it's time for it to come down. In fact, Biscuit learned quickly that he could pull the light bulbs from the light string and play floor hockey with the bulbs. NOT a good thing. So down it comes. Gerry's been taking lots of pictures and sent them to Vicki for posting, so I hope they'll show up when she's got some time. -- Piggy's Pad

As for Christmas gifts, my favorite has to be the Furminator. Punkie and I had talked about them and she actually bought one a month or so ago. When I asked her how they work, she said it was great so I was ready to buy one. When she said "Don't," I figured it would show up under the tree and I was right. We've been doing a lot of combing since then and it's amazing how much fur and undercoat this comb pulls out. We have to vaccum every time we use it. When the Furminator first came out I orderd one and didn't think it worked well at all, seemed hard on the hair coat. Maybe I will have to check on out again, maybe something has changed? Glad you like it! I figure whatever I get brushed out doesn't end up on my furniture! I wasn't supposed to get any gifts but my sister gave me a Christmas tree candle holder, kind of hard to explain and my MIL gave me 20 bucks which is so funny cause we give them money each month but she wanted to do something! Jaz is doing well, x-rays showed he has gotten rid of lots of fluid and I can barely see his sides move when he breaths. His electrolytes are all low so need to correct that, maybe that's why he is a bit lethargic. He'd lost a pound in 6 days! I'm sure he isn't eating as much as normal but how much of thatw as fluid, ? I don't know! I am to reduce his Lasix in half for one week, then to one shot per day for one week then go for another x-ray. IF there is a tumor hiding in there it's at the base of the heart cause that's the only part still covered by fluid. Vet wasn't talking tumor as much as he did the other day (why do they scare us like that?) but since labs are normal there isn't another cause showing up. So, meds and waiting...I'm so good at that! I'd bet that pound lost in 6 days had to be some of the fluid...don't you think?? I'm glad he seems to be better and hopefully the Vet was completely wrong about the tumor, but like you said, why scare you like that!!! I decorate mostly with snowmen too Denise..and some I'll leave up until the middle or so of January...I've got a tree out in my enclosed backporch that I decorate for the seasons....right now it's a snowmen tree..then in January it turns into a Valentine tree and so on.... Ours will be coming down this weekend for sure....I actually wanted to start tomorrow night, but Rick's brother and his wife may be stopping on Saturday so I thought maybe I'd better wait one more day....but I'm definitely ready!!
