Subject: I have a great comb too, not a furminator, but might be similar. I am always amazed at how much hair comes off with it. I could comb some of the cats non stop with it. I bring it out and they all come running and fight over their turn for it.

It simply looks like a very short toothed comb but it's designed to pull out the undercoat as well as combing the top fur. And believe me, it's working around here. I've already had to change the bag on my vacuum and learned very quickly to keep my mouth closed while combing the cats. It seems that the downy undercoat wafts up into your mouth, given half a chance. I'm really liking it and now I just wish I could find a way to get the cats to hold still. It must feel good because Snowy wiggles like crazy and even Joey twines around my legs as I'm trying to comb her. You can get it at either Petco or Petsmart but it's kinda pricey..............about $35-$39.
