Subject: Was going to get groceries yesterday and (we are rural so we are out between towns when driving) and saw a cow that had just had a baby. I made Leon turn around and she was having number 2! We didn't want to aggitate her by being too close, would have liked to be closer. For years now farmers get in a rush and want the crops in earlier and earlier. Now they are rushing calving season too, it's January you nimrods! Used to be March and April babies, February is pushing it but JANUARY??? It's cold out there!!! Was neat to see but....think of these babies falling out of a nice warm cushy mama onto the cold ground cover with poky corn stalks and it's 28 degrees!
In reply to: Denise 's message, "Done with all I have to do for today, tried to nap but couldn't sleep but stayed there anyway cause all the critters were snuggled in. Jaz came in again on his own today and when Shaq moved from in front of me, Jaz moved in so I didn't want to disturb him. Leon got Christmas lights down. He had his foot doc check up last Tuesday and got rid of the boot he has been wearing so is catching up on those things he would have done by now if he could have." on 2:04:38 pm, Sat, 01/12/08
