Subject: A cow had a baby in the january? WOW, that is so cool you got to see it, but so sad for the baby! Hope he is ok. Glad Jaz seems better, but it would drive me crazy not knowing what caused it so I hope they can figure it out. Looks like Leon is shaping up too. Thats good. I'm just trying to clean up a bit today myself. I can't stand the dust and soot and grrrr. I need a bigger house!!!!!!
In reply to: Denise 's message, "Done with all I have to do for today, tried to nap but couldn't sleep but stayed there anyway cause all the critters were snuggled in. Jaz came in again on his own today and when Shaq moved from in front of me, Jaz moved in so I didn't want to disturb him. Leon got Christmas lights down. He had his foot doc check up last Tuesday and got rid of the boot he has been wearing so is catching up on those things he would have done by now if he could have." on 2:04:38 pm, Sat, 01/12/08

  • I'd love to see a calf being born. Although I spent most of my childhood on my aunt and uncle's farm, they grew crops and feed beef cattle so there were never any little ones involved. Probably a good thing or I would have wanted to take one of them home!! But yeah, January in Iowa is cold and snowy and a harsh setting for a cow to be having a calf. I'm kinda surprised that the farmer didn't have the cow in a barn for calving. And it's good to hear that Leon is free of the boot. I'll bet it makes him feel better too. As for the nap, well, at least you got snuggle time with the babies. I do the same thing..........lay still so I don't disturb the munchkins. (NT) -- Sandy, 8:19:33 am, Sun, 01/13/08
